The next two months in Guidance lessons are going to be a lot of fun, and I am inviting you to be a part of your child’s experience.

In April, we are going to be exploring careers through the Virginia Career View website.  Students are going to think about: the types of settings in which they might like to work; with whom they might like to work; and, what types of skills they possess. 

In May, Kings Glen will be celebrating College Awareness Month.  In Guidance lessons, we are going to be exploring the education and training that will be needed for the careers and occupations that your child researched in our April lesson.

Look for a page to come home with your child for you to complete about your career path, education, and training, and return the page to school with your child.  The pages will be put together on an interactive bulletin board and displayed for all of our Kings Glen Gators to see.  It will be so exciting for our students to see the huge range of careers and possibilities, and there will be so many careers ahead of them that do not even exist yet!
