Robots and Native Americans?
Mrs Milford's Class Mixes It All Up!
Students blended knowledge in anthropology, computer programming, geology, and writing to do explorations of Native American cultures in the United States. It was followed up with journaling the travels of their robots. Varying the grouping of students resulted in multiple collaborative efforts to complete the huge project. Larger groups made maps of the united states. Smaller sub-groups created representative objects for each tribe studied. And yet other collaborative teams used trial and error to perfect coding to drive their bots. Fun learning and full engagement was the outcome.
